Description
The D550K TIG includes all the features of our D550K HO with the added ability of heavy aluminum AC TIG welding in the field. A 500 amp @ 100% duty cycle, constant current, constant voltage, DC, diesel engine-driven welder with an available 20,000 watts 240 VAC auxiliary power. Its three-phase rotating field generator produces a smooth DC weld output and has enough power for gouging with up to 3/8" carbons. A simplified control panel provides easy process set-up and includes a five-position Amperage Control switch, a potentiometer-type Voltage/Amperage Adjust Control for fine-control, and a six-position Process/Contactor Control switch. Remote contactor control, as well as remote amperage and voltage control, are via a 14-pin receptacle mounted on the front control panel.
