DESCRIPTION: Kubota DLW400ESA4 Mobile Welder, 400 amps, 14 kW, 120/240V, T4F. This DC (constant current) and CV (constant voltage) welding machine delivers up to 400 amps in single-output operation, or 200 amps to both outputs in dual-output operation. As a generator, this unit provides up to 14 kW of clean power at 120/240V AC. A digital display provides both amperage/voltage and troubleshooting information to operators. Smart Stick, E-Mode, and Arc Force are just a few of the features of the Multiquip DLW400ESA4.
It delivers up to 400 amps as a welder with the convenience of 14 kW of AC power as a generator. It offers dual-operator output capability and can draw simultaneous AC power while welding. It boasts impressive voltage regulation to within 1.5% (+/-). It is compatible with Kubota Tier 4 Final diesel engines (model D902). Arc Force control allows the operator to precisely adjust the DC current under low-voltage welding conditions, helping to prevent electrode sticking during short-arc welding. It features smooth arc characteristics and more consistent weld penetration. E-Mode improves fuel efficiency by allowing an operator to weld up to 200 amps while the engine maintains idle speed. Two operators can also use this feature when the total amperage between the two outputs does not exceed 200 amps.
The Smart Stick feature automatically shuts off the motor during periods of no load. The operator simply taps the welding rod on the grounded workpiece to restart the motor, enabling restarts even while working in rafters or suspended from the side of a skyscraper in a breeze.
Welding processes: SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, and ACAC. The soundproof cabinet reduces noise levels to 70 dBA at 23 feet. GFCI protection across the entire panel – OSHA and NEC compliant.
